1. Topshop triangles 

2. With the weather turning slightly chillier a hot vanilla latte is just what I need.

9. Was super excited to see the poster art for the upcoming film adaptation of one of my favourite books, The Book Thief. Keep your eye out for this one folks, looks set to be a good one.

Instagram Diary: Birthday Edition!

 

1. Since last weekend was my birthday weekend I went a bit sparkle heavy on the nails. 

2. Cheeky selfie of my birthday outfit. Topshop jumpsuit. All ready for a night out with the girls.

3. This is my best friend Helen, she’s been a through a lot this year and handled it like a true warrior princess, BFF kisses. Mwah!

4. Chocolates. These made up my birthday breakfast.

5. Wooooo! I received lots of Debenhams beauty card gift vouchers all loaded with moolah to spend in MAC, Urban Decay & Illamasqua etc. My peoples know me so well.

6. Went out for an Indian with family to celebrate, here’s a sneaky pic with Mamma Smith.

7. My twin and I blowing out the birthday candles.

8. Red velvet birthday cake. Was yummy!

9. Dad heres a word of advice, if you leave £10 laying around I will take it to Costa and put it to good use. Thanks though.

10. Used my Debenhams cards to buy these lovely goodies… MAC eyeshadows (Clockwise) Swish, Naked Lunch, Charcoal Brown, Mulch & Sumptuous Olive. I now have more eyeshadows than pro palette spaces. Another palette it is then…

11….Urban Decay Naked 2 palette.

12….MAC Myth lipstick.

13.… Vera Wang Lovestruck perfume.

14. Pretty pink eyes with my new Swish shadow.

15. Went to see The Conjuring. Scary business. Good film though. Prepare to be spooked.

1. Cheers! A nice cool Ginger Ale. Lunching with Mamma Smith, it would be rude not too!

2. Couldn’t resist these MAC purchases. Been wanting these two products for a while, Paint Pot in Chilled on Ice and a 266 angled brush.

3. Sleek blusher in Rose Gold. Such a pretty product. I have been using this blush non stop since buying. 

4. I already own a Sleek eye shadow palette in Au Naturel and use it a lot. The new one in this pic is called Storm. Pigmented, easy to blend with a pocket friendly price. Winner. Doncaster Superdrug please start stocking Sleek!

5. This week I was very impressed when the new A/W issue of ASOS Magazine fell through the letter box. A fabulous little read.

6. My friend Terri and I were bonding until this happened. I’m team Costa, Terri team Starbucks. We can no longer be friends! 

7. Spent a lovely day this week with my two nephews, a trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park then bowling, I even won a game!

8. Topshop playsuit. Possible outfit for my birthday celebrations next weekend. 

9. Nails. Gold glitter bases. Using Topshop and Models Own polishes. 

10. Anyone else on Orange/EE that has trouble with their service? My iPhone quite regularly says No Service. Then all these zeros happen. Sort it out Orange!!

1. Back in love with Essie’s Fiji nail polish with tanned hands.

2. I have a bit of a thing for stars and crescent moons so I couldn’t resist these super cute Topshop midi rings. (Sorry can’t remember how much they cost!)

3. Never before owned a pair of tan coloured sandals, until now. These pair were a bargain from Faith.

4. Got these two MAC lipsticks, Please Me & Honey Love, FREE, yes free by swapping 12 empty eyeshadow pots as part of the Back 2 MAC scheme. Happy Jemma!

5. Been after some holographic effect nail polish for ages. Found this one in Urban Outfitters.

Instagram Diary…

All this glorious weather we’ve been having this past week has made me loath to sit at my computer any longer than necessary and instead I’ve been out making the most of the sun. Whatever you guys are up to I hope you’re enjoying the sunshine too!

1. I recently posted about Moving on and Making Friends, if you missed it find it here.

2. Liquorice Allsorts, just couldn’t resist.

3. Hate it when this happens to eyeshadows. Waaah! Had to get another as I use this colour a lot. 

4. Also consoled myself with is pretty Topshop eye trio in ‘Atmosphere.’ 

5. New Topshop Jamie jeans. They cut off just above the ankle so look great with sandals in this weather.

6. I’ve been wearing this Topshop white daisy print tee a lot since I brought it. So floaty and cool. Had so many compliments on it too.

7. Become obsessed with midi rings. Always late to the party but better late than never!

8. I’ve been in desperate need of new sandals for a while but wasn’t prepared to spend a fortune. Picked up this pretty pair from River Island for £30. So sparkly in the sun.

9. Printed top, New Look.

10. How tiny is this Fab? make sure you don’t pick up the mini versions in the shops, you’ll be disappointed!

11. El scorchio weather, been out in the sun getting a tan with my factor 30 on!

12. Paid a visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Monday. Can’t believe I live so close but have never been before. The Giraffes were my favourite. Well worth the money. If you live close enough to visit, its a must.

13. Become obsessed with these wafer biscuits in Costa.

14. I might be 24 but I still giggled all the way through Despicable Me 2 like a child. 

15. My sister sent me this Ariel picture with the message “I saw this and thought of you” So does that mean she thinks I have too much make up?!

16. Latest read. Started it two days ago and finished today. Something a bit different for me but thoroughly enjoyed. The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly.

1. The nicest lunch. Chunky chips and  a sandwich.

2. Weird (i.e. posh) chocolate brownie.

3. Real Techniques Powder and Blush brushes. Been after these two for a while.

4. After watching Zoella use some salt spray in a  YouTube vid I decided to give it a go myself. This is a Toni & Guy one.

5. I got sick of hearing everyone mention Sleek makeup and never being able to find it anywhere so I ordered some prods from the website. This is the iDivine eyeshadow palette in Au Naturel and a blush in Pixie Pink. I love them both.

6.Make up face using my new Sleek products.

7. It’s not like I need more but here’s Nails Inc in Victoria and Maybelline Color Show in Speckled Pink.

8. I love these little vials of nail glitter from Topshop. Decided to purchase the darker glitters after loving the lighter shades. Messy as all hell to use but super pretty!

11. Pretty stained glass window.

12. Mini Cookie Dough, bit of a let down to be honest. Only about 2 pieces of actual cookie dough in it!

13. Latest nails. Nails inc Victoria with Topshop Magpie glitter fade. Got so many compliments on these already.

Instagram Diary

1. It was such a lovely day this past bank holiday Monday that I took a trip out to Belvoir Castle with the family. We had a wander round the Castle and I spent the entire time sighing “I wish it was mine” if only my dad was born a Duke….

2. The grounds of the Castle are beautiful, its such a fairytale place. If you live near by and have never been, earmark it as your next day out.

3. Been meaning to put together a MAC palette for ages and just never got on with it. My make up bag was getting a little cluttered with all the individual eyeshadow pots rattling round in there so I got myself online (www.maccosmetics.co.uk)  and ordered a Pro Palette and a 15 space insert. And also a cheeky eyeshadow (this one’s Shroom), well it would be rude not to.

4. Costa have started doing chocolate teacakes. They’re new so I had to test them didn’t I?

5. Nails. Bit disappointed with these as they didn’t last long. The glitter is fab but the black chipped really easily. It’s an Essie polish so I’m surprised as I usually find Essie polishes to have good staying power. 

6. All my shadows in my MAC Pro Palette. I actually enjoyed depotting them all, it wasn’t as difficult as I anticipated and I managed to avoid third degree burns and ruining any shadows while doing it! Winner! Only have three slots left so I better get filling them…

7. This House Is Haunted by John Boyne. Current reading material. A Victorian ghost story, right up my street. 

8. New dress. Total bargain from TK Maxx £12.99!

9. Finally bit the bullet and brought a new Apple laptop. Bit of an expense but my old black Macbook was slowing down and packing up in degrees, will miss the old fellow. I went for a 13″ Macbook Air. 

10. If I walk past a bookshelf in a shop I honestly cannot resist buying. Damn Sainsbury’s and their bargain book prices! Enticing me in. Here I have The Light Between Oceans by M L Stedman and The Age Of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker. Think the Age of Miracles will be my next read. 

11. Little bit obsessed with my new twinkly backlit keyboard. Turned it up to the brightest it will go without shame.

12. Quick nail change. A simple and easy design that looks really quite effective.

1. More books. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and The Rose Petal Beach by Dorothy Koomson. Both new authors for me, maybe you’ll see these in future Jemm Frances Reads….

2. Pink overload in my shower bag. I’m not 12, honest.

3. Loving wearing my hair like this at the moment. Not really sure what this style is called

4. A make up face this week.

5. Costa chocolate muffin. I heart the gooey bit in the middle!

6. Desperately needed some new Topshop jeans so invested in these jegging style ‘Leigh’ jeans £38 each I think.

7. Went for a stroll around Cusworth Hall. Bit chilly though.

8. New Jemm Frances Reads… this week on the blog. Life After Life by Kate Atkinson.

9. Frankie & Benny’s lunch followed by a cheeky chocolate brownie and ice cream dessert.

10. Couldn’t resist this bright mint green Barry M Gelly polish. Called Greenberry.

11. Really appreciated this latte.

12. Star light, star bright. I want.

13. Sod Sunday lunch. Chip shop dining.

1. The nails I painted with my Barry M Gelly nail paint (in the colour Papaya) and nail art glitter. Just to report, the glitter went EVERYWHERE. I spent the majority of my time trying to get the excess glitter back into the bottle.

2. Spring has finally sprung this week thanks to the lovely sunny weather. I hope you’ve seen the sun wherever you are, long may it continue!

3. Topshop Lips in Macaroon. I’ve been wanting a coral lip colour for spring/summer and this is perfect for me. More on the pinky side than the orange. 

4.Costa belgian chocolate and praline tart. Apparently these are new so I just had to try them out. 

5. Treated myself to some new perfume. Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine. Smells divine!

6. Models Own Artstix nail beads in Pink Neon Fizz. Available in the Bottle Shop, on the website and in Boots stores.

7. Lunch out, Hunters Chicken and chunky seasoned chips. Delish.

8. Giant Bakewell Tart. Bigger is better.

9. Much needed Costa.

10. Couldn’t wait to try out the nail beads. These nails are entirely Models Own. Pink Lady & Snow White polishes with the accent nail covered in the Pink Fizz beads. I love. 

11. That painful moment you learn an important lesson; shaving your legs is a dangerous business. Ladies can I get an ‘Mmhmmm’? 

12. What I wore today to a friends baby’s christening. Topshop dress and blazer (& shoes) and an ASOS belt.
